Sport Fishing (Angling)

Fishing sports have been practiced in the Alliance for a few dozens of years. It was officially recognized by the State Committee for Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism (now the Russian Federal Agency for Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism) in February 1997. Nowadays, fishing sports are one of official kinds of sports in the Russian Federation. Rosokhotrybolovsoyuz holds around 3000 competitions of various levels, with the participation of over 55,000 sportsmen. All-Russian competitions in various types of sport fishing are conducted on a yearly basis: float rod angling, spinning fishing, ice trolling, ice coaching, carp catching. Any person willing to take part in such competitions may become a participant of the basic level – if you are interested, feel free to contact the local department of the regional public association of hunters and fishermen. Fishing sports are one of the most “peaceful” and non-offensive sports which also popularize active outdoor activities, healthy lifestyle and environmental friendliness.

Amateur Fishing

Over 10 million people practice amateur fishing in Russia. The Rosokhotrybolovsouz members have significant advantages over ‘non-organized’ fishermen: they are free to use fishery bases, fishing equipment on lease, trip tickets to fisheries with discounts. However, the fishery bases and ponds owned by Rosokhotrybolovsoyuz associations of hunting and fishing welcome all those who are interested, provided they comply with the regulations for the use conditions.
